Rick Gosselin

Rick Gosselin is a sports columnist for the Dallas Morning News. He is a 1972 graduate of Michigan State University and has spent four-plus decades as a sportswriter with United Press International, the Kansas City Star and the Dallas Morning News. He received the Bill Reed Award as the top student sportswriter in the Big Ten in 1972 and was named the Missouri sports writer of the year in 1980 by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He also received the Dick McCann Award from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014 for “long and distinguished reporting on professional football.” This is his first contribution to Strong of Heart.
