Mike Lopresti spent more than three decades covering sports for the Gannett News Service, much of that as a national sports columnist for USA Today. In that role, he covered some 32 World Series, 31 Super Bowls, 34 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Fours, as well as 16 Olympics. He’s a member of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Hall of Fame, the Indiana Sportswriters & Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame, the Ball State University Journalism Hall of Fame—and he also spent 11 years covering sports for the Richmond (Ind.) Palladium-Item.
